Sort of. So I sold my D2 last year for a ST225. Just sold the focus, now looking to get another D2.

But auto or manual?
PFL or FL?

Decisions decisions.

Hope to get my hands on a nanocom again too, it sure helped me out a lot last time

You bought a focus!
You had an acute neurological condition I suppose but you are now fully recovered I hope?
Must have been hell.

It was just something I had to get out of my system. Doctor has prescribed me meds and said everything will be good to go, fingers crossed for a full recovery from the discovery

I have an auto D2, which has taken a while to adjust to but I'm now thoroughly enjoying it.
I do feel, most of the time, that I'd be in a higher gear if I had a manual but the auto does seem a good choice.
I dont know, if I was doing a lot of off road I may prefer the added control of a manual but for what I do at the moment the auto is definitely the best IMO.
Mines an early low mileage with the 10p engine so I have had to take the head off (Td5) and change the dowels from plastic to steel.
I went for basic spec without sunroofs and I think that was the best choice of all because I have no other issues, I just enjoy it.
About to upgrade my suspension but thats all I will need for the foreseeable future.

'PFL or FL?' - Wassat then?
Mine's a Td5 auto, I like it as it seems to promote a more relaxed driving style suitable for a 2 ton vehicle, but it will pick up it's skirts and run if I want it to (well, quickly enough for me anyway). Tempted to have it mapped though....

"Pre-Face Lift or Face Lift"
Mine is a face-lift Td5 with a manual box. Not the quickest lump on the road, but as @Spong has said it will get up and go if you have time to wait for it to build up a "head of steam".
The differences between FL and pre-FL are largely aesthetic with almost no differences in the mechanicals, but there are some not insignificant differences in the electrics such as locations of lights and headlights.

Isn’t pfl 10p and fl a 15p engine?
I’m going auto I think. I drive buses which are all auto, so won’t be too different from what I drive all day at work.
Fancy trying an auto with off-road as I won’t have to worry about any gear changes should I need to change

I recently rejoined the D2 club and while searching for this one I really wanted an auto. my last one was an auto and loved it so much could not now go back to manual.. The one i got is a PFL but has a 16p engine in it.. you have to learn how to drive an auto, you can persuade it to go into higher gear quicker by letting your foot off the gas a little, and use the cruise control a lot as it will save you fuel.. I won't go back to manual now... could be a sign of getting old i suppose.

Well I picked this puppy up.
D2 auto XS
185k miles
3 owners from new
£900 winner winner chicken dinner. Now leaves me plenty of money in my pocket for mods. As long as I get more than 18mpg I will be happy
