I’m looking at the SGS 20 tonne online. One version is reduced by approx £80 to £299. Are you happy with yours as this seems a good price and I’m tempted to just order it.

Mine's been fine. I've pressed a variety of suspension components and gearbox parts with it, with no problems. Seems like they're among the best of the budget kit. They post stuff out to you quickly too. You could be pressing away by Tuesday or Wednesday.
I also have an SGS engine crane and a small compressor. I'm pretty pleased with them too.
It's something that would be used very little to be honest. Mainly the rare wheel bearing etc, but I hate not having the equipment to do a job when I need it.

I very rarely take engines out, come to think of it. But it is good to have an engine crane when I do so. The same thing with the press. Some years it doesn't get used but when you want to do something like renew suspension bushes it is very useful and gets used a lot. I spent a good deal of my early life trying to get bearings off, get gears or pulleys off shafts and the like with completely useless tools such as cheap pullers whose legs bent so I appreciate being able to do so in relative comfort with the right tools nowadays.
