Hydraulic Lifters noise

Freelander 1.8i 2005. I had what I thought was noisy hydraulic lifters. Initially I used Wynns cleaner but this didn't help, so I changed them all for new ones.
When it starts up it sounds sweet, but as soon as it warms up the tapping noise comes back, I expect it to be the other way around, don't understand. Does anyone have any ideas.
 
I have the same problem. I have been told by a Land Rover mechanic that the lifters should not be compressed when removing or fitting. He is doing mine next month.

ive known the seize thus no longer operating as a hydraulic lifter but a soolid one which can cause valve to hit piston , id squeez any that was to be refitted in a soft jaw vice to ensure they compress or fit new
