These two guys helped me to arrange an excellent laning holiday in the Lake District, where I drove some of the best lanes in the country! Outstanding holiday thanks to the help from these two landy enthusiasts.

Thanks guys,

Chris Jones.

:D :D :D

P.S. We didn't drive the access only 'lane'!

You're welcome!:D Nice photos by the way.

Might have given you a bum steer on one of the lanes though, was it the Ulpha Park road where you had to winch? I forgot to mention the bog when we spoke on the phone and the diversion around it which follows the fence-line away from the trees.

We're on holiday next week and I might see if North Wales is a possibility. Let me know where you're thinking of staying. Strata Florida should be fine for your disco (see last picture of which includes Suzie - the beaming wife and chief navigator!).

Attached a few pics:

Thats definately NOT the line I took!!!

As for Wales, we'll be up there on Saturday afternoon (there being a cottage in Penryhndeudraeth, nr Porthmadog), then leave again Thursday. Have been looking at maps of the Porthmadog to Aberystwyth coast, and inland towards Bala and the Eastern side of the Snowdon park boundary (Landrangers 124, 125, & 135). If you'll be about at any time to meet up that'd be great, prefer driving with a little company/back-up, though our primary mission is to take Max on as many narrow guage railways as possible. Being 6yrs old the only thing he loves more than our Landrovers are trains!!!

You've got my number, give me a txt or a call if you'll be about that way...

Thanks again,

Chris
