huge #### pot hole

I have just hit a huge pot hole (I nearly had to use a winch to get out!)with my 1999 disco now I cannot turn off the hazards or use the key fob to lock or unlock. I can hear an indicator relay clicking in the passenger foot-well dash. I think this is the alarm and the problem. Any ideas?

lock it and unlock it using the drivers door lock. Your disco thinks it's been crashed and is warning other road users.

Just in case my last post causes any confusion I mean to lock it and unlock it again now in order to reset the crash sensor.

Not lock it and unlock it with the key from now on.:doh:

now phone your local counsel and tell them you have damaged your car in a pot hole and tell them you intend to recoup the repairs cost from them!

Mine did the same the day I bent my steering guard ...

Driffield show (actually, it might have been Manby) following a kitted Deepender up a short hill onto a table top .. but went too fast, dropped down the other side and twotted the ruts from about 5' drop! Hazards on, lights on, horn on (oo-er missus!) and dashboard lit up like a christmas tree .. shat meself that I'd really screwed it this time, but all was well after getting out, looking at it, getting back in and re-starting.

Giotta love Landrover resilience ..

No harm in trying but unfortunately in most cases they are only liable if the pot hole has already been reported or they have not followed at least the national guidelines on road inspection and maintenance.
