Hey Adam,
If I wasn't busy with the opening of our new range tomorrow with several local dignitaries attending and as the Chairman I have to attend, make a speech blah blah...., I'd pop over and put some 24 stone weight behind it with you, and I am sure I may have a length of pole somewhere (although not sure where it is at the moment!).
Close - although I am not green, unless I have had a kebab from the dodgy geezers up the hill..!!

Damn..
did ya get those arms from workin' on landrovers?
Hub nuts, Head Bolts and Until 2 years ago, the company I worked for built Aircraft support equipment - and I used to spend 50% of my time in the design office and 50% i nthe workshop helping lug structural steel beams and columns around for some of the docking and shoring equipment we built.Big Guns !!!! Obviously undone a few wheel nuts in his time
How urgent??I was thinking today when giving it some welly, the nut would just give up with saint at it.
Cheers saint I appreciate the thought. a friend of the wife's has a length of scaffold in his garage from him and his working on cars... but he's in Cornwall fishing.
I'll give the impact gun a shot tomorrow but I suspect that it won't push enough bar to give enough torque
Pop over to Gravesend in Kent and I will give you a length of scaffold pole you can take away and play to your hearts content or I csan stick my 380nm gun on it[/QUOTE
Thanks for the offer gravesend would really be pushing luck with a knackered wheel bearing.
The P38A hub nut sits in a reccess in the hub, has to be a socket, a spanner wouldn't fit on unfortunately.Hows about sticking a spanner on there and giving it a good whack with 'ammer?
That usually works for me, mainly because i don't have biceps like tree trunks

@ukadamwest have you tried heating up the nut with a torch?
How urgent??
I may be able to do next Sunday if you haven't budged it by then.... or during one day in the week - evenings are difficult with two rug rats.
Oh and sorry to have missed your call and Whatsapp msg, the other day - life is manic - new job, kids, Summer starting school, graduation do's to go to for finishing nursery etc etc - you have all this to come!
That's an option but not oxy-a so I don't know if it will get hot enough. How about some heat?
Difficult to do with a hub nut! What about putting breaker bar on it behind wheel and while someone holds it in place with his boot gently reverse car to break hold
