Hello anyone got part numbers for the hub. Need a part number or diagram for front hub plate on a s2a

Can't read part numbers but its the main hub plate that the bearings and studs go into. That one seems to be the push in studs and I need the one with screw in studs.

Hate to ask a dumb question, but why are you replacing the hub casting? if it's a matter of a stripped-out lug the common fix for this is to simply drill the threads out and press/draw in a splined lug to replace it. I have a hub on my 109 that has had 2 lugs done that way and I've had no problems with it.

As previously stated the thread-in lug hubs are no longer available, but a used one could no doubt be sourced. There is very little that can go wrong with a hub to render the casting unfit for service.

Oh right going to have to check tomorrow as I have ordered two hubs from BLRC the place I got the studs. It is a special order. I wonder if it is the splined one they have ordered me?(hopefully not as they sold me the threaded studs on Thursday.)

What studs did you use? That might be a lot easier. Cause if I do get the new hubs I'm going to have to get someone to swap bearings over as bearings I have at the min are perfect.

The threads for the studs are wrecked. Only one on one side and possible 2 on the other work.

New hubs are not that expensive £19+ each. Really don't mind paying that if its going to fix it good. My only problem is swapping bearings. The bearings in at the min are perfect.

Has anyone ever removed and refitted the same bearings before? There is an engineering company near me with a couple of 40t presses, so thinking bring it all around to them.

yes is quite simple either press race out or drift out using brass or copper punch not steel ,ensure races stay with the same rollers

OK, studs I used were externally threaded to take the same double-ended lug nuts and had a splined inner end to be pressed in place.

i don't consider this a bodge - the splined lug is a better item than the threaded in my opinion.

if you order hubs (19 quid is not that bad) just make sure that you get the ones with the smaller lugs and not the great whacking Series III things.

Well it's the same place I got the studs last week so hoping they put 2+2 and get me the right one.

So my dad got a 52mm box spanner to take old hubs off and has just let me know it is spinning and not biting the nut. I thought they were 2 1/16 51.4mm and that a 52mm(bought from land rover spares place) fitted all real land rovers.

Grr. Rang today to see if my hubs where in since ordered them on Monday. And they weren't so they rang their suppliers to be told they didn't have them but didn't think to mention that when they ordered them.

I'm thinking will s3 hubs with push in studs fit a s2a? I might be easier trying to get those.

So local supplier is saying they can't get series 2 hubs anymore and that I should fit s3. Can go for that bar the price of £65+ each!! Meant to be £80.
