Hi, Folks!

I've just bought my first Landrover - a 2004 Freelander HSE Automatic, which I pick up on Wednesday next week.

I'm recently divorced (though I'm only 32), and during the split, I had to sell my Hummer H2, which was my pride and joy. I'm sure my HSE will look after me fine, but I do wanna make some changed to it straight away.

The car comes with Sat-Nav, which I wanna keep, but I'd like to install a flip out screen so I can pipe movies from my Video iPod through it. Is there anywhere on the dashboard to install such a thing without losing the Sat-Nav?

Also, does anyone know where I can find some 19 or 20" wheels to put on the car? I know I probably sound like a boy racer, but they certainly improved the handling of my Hummer no end, as well as looking pretty cool!

I'm looking forward to getting the car, so your help in helping me make it my own would be much appreciated! :)

Also - is there any companies which do a performance re-map for the 2.0 TD engine?

My ex-wife had a turbo new beetle, and having it chipped not only improved the speed, but also the responsiveness and the fuel consumption!

Any info much appreciated! :)

Ever thought of buyin a tractor. .. you can really mod these ie, a valve type radio, electrical self starting mod, comfy camouflage cushions, speedo [this is just for flash types], self pig feeder [a must have mod],reverse gear,[needed when pig stealing],an electric horn, just the thing to tell other dirt trackers your totally outa control, but best of all on e bay buy for ya cab,for the dis concerning tractor driver, [ whiff of pig ] , a new fragrance to waft you back to days of old, when tractors were free and roamed the tracks in a by gone era, not seen on these shores for a long time, thank god. . .Ming :)

Huh? What have tractors got anything to do with anything?

Sorry - I'm new to this...

Sorry bout that Starbuck. . .bin taking a double dose medication, ok the re flash is the better option rather than the old chip replacment, talking to td4 owners that have had it done, well recomended there is a bit more you can do for even more power, their is a link at the top of the page called reviews click on that and youll find a company called bell auto's give them an e mail, there is a lot of companys who can do this type of work ,some good some total ****e ,so it pays to know about them,as for the wheel upgrade never done it ,so you might get some other feed back, hope this is of some help, well got to go now and put the freelander in the garage, cos i think there is a tractor down the road an i dont want any mud on me freelander. glug glug .

the best way to modify a queenlander is to run it into a wall:)

Well, this is the first car I've bought for a specific purpose - to give me a relaxed, cheap drive to work.

I also drive a 2005 Ford Mustang GT (4.6 Litre V8), have had 3 Corvettes, and the car I had before the Mustang was my favorite ever - 2003 Hummer H2 6.0 V8. I'm gonna buy another one next year. :)

Queenlander, indeed.
