I don't want to be rude mate as I'm all for helping, but if you can't work it out its too much for you.

The slam panel and body mounts only need moving a few inches and the inner wings just get shortened with the wings cut to suit. The issues come when you have to fit a front winch and an electric fan into basically no space. Because you have moved the radiator back to the water pump.

I understand where you're coming from and when/if I bobtail mine I will do the front as well but tbh unless you are into serious off road work it isn't worth the hassles.

Do what we all do on this forum. Build it and post the pictures so well all then know how to do it.

Go on be a trailblazer

i will be starting to bobtail the rear in the next week or so and will tackle front at same time. i will be uploading pictures as it goes through the stages. i will tackle the front end and if for any reason it doesnt go to plan ill jus build a tubular front end with modified bonnet etc like my previous disco bobtail had

pls pls pls don't do a bobtail and cover it in chequer plate like a lot of people do to hide a join.

no one can see the join on mine on the sides or roof, the only place u can see it is inside, the rear windows are the original glass cut to fit aswell, not chequer plate or plastic:)

i will be doing it properley mate, i will have the quarters welded then welds ground down and give it a skim of filler. i dont want they to be any tell tale signs from the outside.

Top man for doing it yourself. It's all too easy to farm it off to others but you just don't get the satisfaction do you?

I look forward to the pictures and the thread when you get cracking. Good luck

my mates done loads of bobtails, we will be doing it together but as for the filling and the fine detail i will be doing my self. im even wanting to tackle the paint job my self. i have uploaded a picture of a yellow one into my gallery but it wont let me post on here thats how im wanting my one to be like

this is how i want mine to be. cant wait to crack on with it next week.
