Before anyone says "Use the for sale section" I don't have anything like enough posts to be allowed to.

So does anyone have any advice on where to do it? My problem is not knowing where to sell cars generally. Previously I've always used them for years then traded them in for my next one. This time, I'd like cash, ideally.

I've tried Gumreee (that's where I bought it from) but despite getting plenty of looks, I've had no interest. If I'm allowed to post a link to Gumtree within forum rules, I'll happily do so, but in short, it's 53 plate Td4 in silver, with 126k on the clock, no leaks, 2l BMW engine, etc etc. I have it up for £1450 at the moment.

IMHO, it's reasonably priced - from the other ads I've seen so far, the only ones cheaper than it are either much lower mileage or only for parts, whereas mine is a runner, and according to the full HPI that I did on it (which I can supply a copy of), it's 500 quid less than its current value - it's recently been serviced (by an independent LR specialist locally) and there is, as far as I know, nothing wrong.

I've just not bonded. I bought it because I was told by a couple of LR fanatics that I'd quickly grow to love it, that it would grow on me, all that stuff. But I just don't get on with it. Sorry.

Unfortunately, it's now just sat on the drive in the way and while I know I'll lose money on it (it's already priced at over £300 less than it's cost, and I'm not including insurance or road tax), I'm not letting it go for effectively scrap money.

So does anyone have any ideas/advice/abuse/whatever, please? Thanking you in advance.

FB classifieds? I always got told to post there but fb is not for me.

I do enjoy eBay vehicle hunting & I think many people browse that by habit.

Often buying rubbish they don't need of course xD

I sold my last one on ebay, as an auction. That way, no time-wasting viewings. It was just a basic 02 Td4 S with about 180,000 on the clock. Plenty of pics and a good description helps, of course.

what colour is it?

Your profile does not say where you or the car are based so how do you know if any locals would be interested? Also have you looked at auto trader the biggest rag for selling cars in the country? What do you live in some rich utopian bubble that at your age you can't sell a second hand car?? Does your butler usllay do that for you?

In my experience model type and spec is just as important as mileage where values are concerned.

Where yer gone?

Has it got a sunroof?

@Hippo - silver, and no, it doesn’t have a sunroof. It seems to be the most basic model of the time. Doesn't even have a trip meter, just an odometer, a clock, a speedo and a rev counter. Oh, and in answer to "Where yer gone?" the reply from MadMustang below should tell you why I'll not be back.

@Nodge68 - I did put those in the ad, along with a bunch of pics.

@Madmustang - Instead of being a snark, try reading what I actually wrote originally. It might have answered your latter questions for you.
