How to replace door mirror assembly ???

I have bought a new drivers door mirror for my 1999 Discovery TD5 (after someone ****ted it and broke the whole thing) ..... but I can't see how to get the old one off - let alone fit the new one. Any ideas please ???

the whole assemby?theres a triangular plastic panel on the inside of the door,carefully lever it off with a flatty screwdriver - fixings will become apparent

Thanks for replying. I thought that is how it was done, but I can't seem to get the triangular plastic panel off I've been pulling so hard its in danger of snapping. If it is that well stuck on ...... will it go back on ???

its got quite long plastic plugs into the door,lift it a bit one side then the other,get fingers in under it then pull evenly til it comes free.It should go back on fine....or you can always sikaflex it!
