Hello everyone,

How do I remove the mirror? I've tried a few things, but nothing works.
Does the metal clip go up or down? Do I pry it out with a screwdriver? I don't want to use force and break it.

I have now done some further research. There appear to be two different models. One has to be pulled down and the other rotated? Which type of mirror do I have? Can anyone identify it?

ok, i did it. pull it down with a little pressure. great! thanks!
now i'll try to get the glass out. i'll have a new one made. it's cheaper than buying a new one and i'll keep the original case.

Ooh, I had that happen to mine and a little liquide had seeped out onto the center dash... It's like bloody acid🤯

Just look for the same version on eBay. If you're replacing the electrochromic with a standard mirror, get one of those.

Up to 1998 had 3-wire, but 1999 onward have 5-wire connections.

Earlier type with cover over the mount: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166226496755
(Usually a slider at bottom for sensitivity)

Later version with bracket cover split vertically: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165820261460

...here are 2 more photos of the mirror.
i have opened the case. it is glued at the bottom.
unfortunately my plan didn't work out. but now i know where the brown spots come from. it is a glued double mirror and on one side it is no longer tight and therefore moisture could get in. Anyway, I'm still satisfied.
now I'm looking for a new mirror.
