How to move an Axle from the South West to the Hebrides????

Dilemna........ A friend of mine has a spare front axle I need for my series 3 Land rover In the South West of England. I live in the Hebrides Scotland!! Im trying to get a few Quotes for various delivery options but everyone wants exact weights???? Aggggh Any one know a weight of a series 3 front axle minus the springs but including the Diff, swivels and pretty much everything else on a front axle. Or anyone shifted an axle before? And who with?

I reckon when i had the whole hub, drum, swivel and halfshaft to shift they must have been 40kg each at least. No idea on the axle case and diff but a lot again. All in its gotta be close to 200kg surely? Rattlegun knows, he was complaining how heavy it all is the other day

How about a post for the landyzone relay? it will take time to co-ordinate members movements but if your not in a rush could cost nowt. 200+kg will cost ya up to your place.
