How to bleed brakes with a ABS Modulator

Replaced all brakes components. Bleed system 3 times using the starting at
the Rt rear, Lt rear, Rt front, Lt front method. ABS light now on. Feels
like air in system. Sponge peddal that can be pumped up. Classic air still
in system. Without buying a scanner tool to activate the ABS module. Is
there a way to use a jumper wire in the ALDL connector to activate the
pump in the ABS modulator, while bleeding brakes to remove any air that
may have gotten in the ABS modulator? Can't get brake fluid out to
bleeders on modulator. I am calling the big silver box on the driverside
wheel well with all the brake lines going to it the modulator. This is on
a 1994 k1500 (4x4) chevy Suburban with 5.7.

Maybe different on the chev, but on my Rover, I turn the truck on, have
someone pump the pedal 4-5 times, then bleed, repeat on each wheel,
this has always worked for me. Good luck!!

ABS systems are different pumping the break pedal is not always the best
since doing so pulses the system it is not like pre or even older ABS
systems. The best and easiest tool to use is a hand squeeze vacuum pump
that can be used for break bleeding. Directions come with the tool which
can be purchased at almost any auto parts store for $40.00. You only need
one person and it works great I have been using one for several years on ABS
autos and 4x4s.
