I've found a nice 1999 dshe for £3900,is that over the odds?it is a minter but I think thats a bit pricey

How much fuel is in the tank ?

probably about as much as you'd fit in your bike,I don't think I've ever bought a vehicle that wasn't in the red, tight fookers.
If I buy it I'll send you a pm and let you know what the gauge reads, will you be interested in its oil and other fluid levels?

You are soooooo lucky.....
Here in Portugal (mostly DSE's) still be very expensive (HSE's are cheepear).
From 1999 (and a DSE) you wont buy for less than 8000GBP, for sure!!!
The last ones (2001, 2002) hit the 10.800GBP.....

(dont forget the water cooling, and the windshield water also...) ;-)

Nah,I would just value the car on how many litres of fuel are in it.Spose you could weigh the rest in to add a bit more value, dunno what scrap prices are like at the mo.:D

Its not the purchase price that you think about with a P38, its the amount you will spend once the "minter" is home.
I love mine, it has a name - Bridgy. Like the painting of the Forth Bridge, I have replaced most things from one end to the other, when I got to the back I started replacing everything from the front again.
Still would not have any other vehicle.

As unreliable as we/everybody says they are, there still seem to be plenty of decent, running, MOT'd examples around for sale so out of the many that were built, not all of em were ****e, just the ones we bought lol.
