just go a buy one, worry about finding the money to restore it later
the worst thing you could do is buy one thinking "right have got £500 (or £5000) quid to spend and it'll be finished by July"

Mine will never be finished.
unlike some of us that thinking everyone has endless amounts of money to rebuild Land Rovers
Done a bit more to it, but no pics till the engine is done (Sitting in the chassis and painted now, Just pump timing to do and front cover paint on)
Trust me mate, i have **** all in the bank All in the Series, but as you say better on that than on other **** that you will bin in a few years.
Oh, You remember that timing tool you said was scrap to me? Well it ain't They are as hard as fook to find and the best way to do the timing.
Has Big Mat got a S3 yet? iv spent ....... +3-75............. about £350 including a new chassis and bulk head. although i never intended to have to replace either but the chassis snapped in half when off roading at bures pit :doh: nothing to do with my dad hitting a bump to quick..........
