I have had my 110 two years, totting up the invoices last night showed l have spent nearly £4,000 since l got it.
And it was a good one....paid £14,000 for it.
At first l was shocked as l didn't think l'd spent that much. But there's something every month.
New wheels/tyres, side steps, injector harness, swivels, oil seals, waxoyling, new screen rubber, dog guard, drivers seat base, driveshaft, brake calipers, minor bodywork, rev counter, soundproofing, four services (done myself), shocks/turrets, steering damper, aux drive belt....the list is never ending. Good job l love driving it!

Close to £5k in 4.5 years I believe, in parts, repairs and various upgrades not including services so probs closer to £5.5 haha

Out of that I think I could have saved around £1k by doing some more research on parts and learning how to drive off road properly instead of "POWWWERRRR"... haha

Though I wouldnt really change a thing, i love it.

Just don't add it up!

So when they say defenders dont depreciate much what they actually mean is they are like pensions and need constant topping up and just maybe you will get your money back and can use man maths to convince yourself that is was a good buy/deal!

about six thousand Euros. That includes a respray, replacement front axle for a Salisbury one. Then down to various bits and pieces like new Rad, heater matrix, visco's fan, bearings, shocks, ball joints, poly bush set, tires, wheels etc etc. Was it worth it? YES. I have a vehicle that I would still get my money back on. Oh, that's over Severn year period.

im prob 11k in and 2k more shud see her done :eek:.........................yeah what ever ,,,,,lol has mick said triggers broom ,,,,,,,,,,,v5 is original ,and thats been reprinted ,lol :D:D:D:D:D:D:p:p:p:p:p

Too much, but it will outlast me, (lots of galvanised and stainless bits) whereas a new one without spending wouldn't. Probably over £10,000 plus the £5,000 it cost me in the first place.

Am still doing my 1st rebuild haven't done a total up, got nearly all the receipts don't think I will do a grand total in case it makes me bad  and the missus might not find out then :D

Well that makes me feel better, l think it's money well spent, l love driving it which is a good thing as l drive it all day for my business.

Had mine about 2 and half years now cost £2.750 when I bought it back then, recently put £4,000 onto it replacing the chassis just put another £1,000ish into converting from a Def 200 to Disco 200 and just spent £500 having the pump and injectors done on it, probably a few grand on other stuff between originally buying it and doing the chassis like wheels / tyres, steering / suspension parts, winch and winch bumper, Mazda rx8 seats, owning a car would save me a shed load of money and time but I would be bored out of my shed, owning a landy keeps me occupied and using my shed :D

Totted up my bills from the SIII rebuild 10 years ago - £6950! Must have spent close to that on the current old girl. But as I say to the missus, it could be worse, I could have bought a yacht!
It's a cheap hobby compared to many others, I know a guy who has £10k worth of fishing gear, and he still has to buy a car to get to the rivers!

Had my 90 for 2 weeks - just hit £2k already.

I didn't lie to my wife when I said "It's a good deal, it doesn't need much doing to it" - I just didn't tell her all the things I wanted to do to it.

Including purchase price I recon around 3 and a half grand but probably nearer 4 and a half if I'm honest.
Worth every penny though ☺
