bloke at the bottom of my road was gonna charge me £125 to fit an injun on my old slitty.
very nice bloke to know, helps me with all sorts, an very cheap to

do most work myself...

but for the work i can't do i agree a fixed charge with my local landy place..

engine out and in 150quid(engine supplied by me no warrenty on engine but work garenteed)..clutch fitted at same time is price of clutch kit on top no more labour charge...that was what we agreed :)

i think the going rate is (for a good mechanic) about £25-£35 per hour+
but if your just startin off start cheap to get a good name (if ya any good that is:D ) an work up slowly.
dont be too greedy coz you won't get any landy owners in ya garage:eek:
an good luck with ya new venture;)

Taggarts (Main dealer in Motherwell) charge £80+vat an hour
When running diagnostics there is a minimum 2 hours labour that's before they fix the problem

Sorry for the delay stay in EK. Remember being at a scout camp when I was young (late 70's early 80's) and going into Stonehouse to a cafe and were chased for our lives by a group of hairies, was like something out of deliverance, sure one of the chasers was carring a banjo (only kidding)
