i passed first time after 4 lessons ,the instructor said there was a spare test coming up and i may as well take it as part of learning ,he werent too happy when i passed, that was a month after my 17th birthday in 1981, but been driving tractors and landies on the road for a good few years prior as part of work on the farm, thats 37 years i think

I passed first time, after only 3 lessons. :)

Similar, I had been driving tractors and other stuff for a while, and motorbikes, and actually driving cars a bit on the road too! It was accepted in the rural areas at the time, lots of people did it.

Passed me test Spring 1971 after 10 lessons. First lesson was 17s6d, next nine were a quid each. Bloody robbery. Driven too far and for too long to enjoy it much now and despite the test being much more involved, driving standards continue to plummet.

I had nine lessons and the test - all for £10. I had never been in a car prior to this so absolutely no experience what so ever! Fortunately, traffic was very light in those days, even in the towns and cities where I lived.

Any size, but it has to be a non articulated, but doesn't include coaches etc.
I find it strange that class 2 dunt automatically give you a PSV. I have a PSV but would have to sit a class two. Not much difference in either.
A bus takes a bit of getting used to mind but not much. It’s the fact your front wheels are eight feet behind you and the rear wheels eight feet from the back. Tail swing becomes quite important in tight lanes.
Articulated bendy buses can also be driven on a standard PSV but I found them easier going than a rigid.

Passed my test in 2017 first time I might add ;)
Growing up on the farm i had driven many types of machinery well before then ranging from Unimogs to Combine harvesters.

Got my trailer towing licence in 2018 a money making rip off IMO, if you can't tow a trailer hang up your keys..

Managed to get my full CPC and took my Coach just for shíts and giggles licence passed in 2019 cat D IIRC.
Also have LGV class 1 which is rather simple once you have CPC..

Thats it..

At the moment.
