How long does your TD4 take to get from 60mph to 70mph???

Freelander Sport TD4 .... not measured it precisely but well under 10 seconds 0-60 (egr bypass is wonderful). 60-70 gotta be 2 secs or less. Not boasting, just the facts! :)

Wow you've made it as fast as a 176bhp v6 by taking the egr off? Do you know what an egr bypass actually does? And do you realise that a 1.8 k series is 1 second faster to 60 than a td4? Think with figures like that you need to join the saxo owners club!

Just timed my '04 HSE, with an Alisport EGR bypass and with my preferred cocktail of Millers and two stroke (but otherwise standard), 60 to 70 in 5th about 5.1 seconds.

Not the most scientific test, but interesting and it's good to see I'm in the same ballpark as most of you.

P.S - Hahahahahahaha at less than two seconds with just an EGR bypass.

You saying you didn't manage 2 seconds? You're clearly not trying hard enough:D

Nah, no idea what that is and no idea how it effects performance... except for on my td4. Fair enough, the other tweaks I've made have helped too but that made the biggest difference, no lumpy tickover and a massive difference in acceleration.
Hmm, saxo owners club? Nah, I'll soldier on for now with the farmers and knowitalls! Same old Landyzone! :)

Hmm so you've more than halved the in gear acceleration time? Knocked over 4 seconds off your 0-60 time. That's pretty impressive stuff please tell me and the other Landyzone know it alls and farmers how you've done it?
Egr blanks only really make a difference if your original was faulty! They may increase air flow slightly if there's a restriction in them but that's it! If yours made a huge difference I'd suggest it was faulty and blanking it off has put your power back to what it should be not doubled it which would give you standard acceleration times! So please tell what other mods have you done, because they must be really effective! My td5 has had the egr removed, cat removed, centre box removed, k&n filter, tunit inc setting up on a lap top, but I'm not making claims like you are! Oh and I do it for a living so yes I may know a thing or two.
So unless you come up with some intelligent argument to back up your impressive figures, myself and others are just going to presume you're a serial bull****ter:D

Presume away, you will anyway! Add some superciliousness on too, might as well make the most of it. My figures aren't claims, just observations and most of my tweaks are documented on here. 0-60 figures vary from vehicle to vehicle so the average figure may well be 13 seconds. Mine isn't. Happy days.

They don't vary much on modern vehicles. Manufacturing tolerances are pretty tight so performance is pretty uniform! The quoted 0-60 time of 13.8 secs will have been achieved by vehicles in optimum condition being driven and timed by professionals. In a traffic light grand prix in a pretty standard car you are unlikely to actually match it! But you claim to be 25% quicker do you have any idea what's involved in that kind of increase? Every one else on here says their td4s are all much the same cos they are! You either need a better stopwatch or move into the real world;)

mine did 60 to 70 in 5.7 seconds with a full tank of fuel if I think about it when the tank is low I will do it again on the same strech of road as there is a lot of weight in a full tank

my passager the wife"the Boss" was doing the timing so gan not get rid but if you think about it if you have a bootfull of stuff anf a tank full it all adds up that is why you will never see a big fat formula 1 driver every ounce counts
