been out today in my TD4 diesel and got it up to 90mph (private land of course) and still more left, just how fast can they go ?
v6 tested on my private country estate. Book time is 10.1 seconds. To be honest it can do it, but all that stress can't be good for it.
I remember you saying this before. I was filming it again recently so will check if it's the same. The auto used in the vid is the recon I had fitted. So they will have updated all the computers at the same time. I'm wondering if they turned down the power of changed a settling to make it perform slightly different, to try to protect the recon auto.I can't help noticing that your auto is short shifting in this video Hippo. The box should do it's up shift at 6450 Rpm at full throttle. The 177 Bhp KV6 makes full power at 6499 Rpm so your's is loosing out on a bit of added go.
I'm curious about that Hippo. My last V6 definitely changed up just before the rev limiter so made full use of the power available. Yours may have a later software update to ease the amount of power the box takes. The Jatco box can take 300 Nm of torque which is more than the 240Nm the KV6 can muster. Will your box shift at 6500 using command shift?I remember you saying this before. I was filming it again recently so will check if it's the same. The auto used in the vid is the recon I had fitted. Never tried it manually but will have a go at some point and report back. It's not uncommon for main dealers to apply upgrades which change things for the better. I don't have any proof this is the case with mine, but I would hope they did apply upgrades if they were available at the time, if they apply something which protects it or makes it last longer.I'm curious about that Hippo. Was it sold by a VAG dealer?Never tried it manually but will have a go at some point and report back. It's not uncommon for main dealers to apply upgrades which change things for the better. Impressed. I don't think I'd push mine that hard, to worried about repair bills! How much smoke?my L-series got to 160km/h the day after I cleaned all the admission pieces and blinded EGR
No, it's petrol and proud of it's carbon foot print at 297 grams per km.Was it sold by a VAG dealer?
