How easy to change from Air to coil

I'm having a few issues with air supsention and am thinking about retro fitting spring to my RRC '95.

Is it easy to do ? How do you handle the electrics ? Just remove the right fuses ?

Does anyone have a how to do this guide ?

I had to change mine over on the qt due to the system packing and a week before my MOT, I was told that the system thought the compressor was running but on further inspection there was not current from the ECU (which had no stored faults)

The question is are you going back to air later?

Removing the air bags is straight forward, jack the car up until the wheels are off the deck and put axle stand on the chassis, don't forget to remove the wheels once off the ground. Then use a trolley jack on each side of the axles, do 1 corner at a time. There are 2 horse clips on the top and the bottom of the air bags. The air bag pipes are just a push fit gripped by a collect arrangement, I pushed the pipe in and gave a slight twist as I pulled them out. Rears are straight forward, you will need to remove the ride height sensors though, just 10mm bolts.

The front I had to remove the damper to get the coil springs in. All I fitted were a set of plates and nyloc nuts to the bottom casing that is attached to the axles they hold the coil spring in place and a set of locating rings at the top to stop rotation.

I hope this is useful to you the job took about 3 hours for me to do.

All the P38 kits I've seen come with a little box of electronics to fool the ECU into thinking everything is OK so maybe the Classic kits are the same ?

All the electrics ECU fuses and relays are under the drivers seat. Its a case of unscrew the grey cover on the seat base next to the door, all the fuses and relays are screwed on to the frame, the wiring loom slots into the ecu, there are some connectors that bring the power in from the main loom via block connectors, they just need unplugging.

I left mine all intact as now I have a replacement loom I'm looking at going back to air. Once you've pulled all the bits off E-bay may be a good source to get some money back on the parts?
