So....ive had leaking valve stem seals for a few years now (puff of smoke on start up then clears). She does use some oil but runs really well with 130 PSI in each pot.

Starts well from cold and when it's been left for 10 - 50mins. However anything after 15 mins and it takes an age to catch. Ive read all about the fuel evaporating etc but I'm also thinking it's maybe the fuel pump with a faulty valve? Fuel running back through the fuel bowl?

Or...oil getting onto the plugs which eventually clears and catches?

I don't want to pull the head but depends on you knowledgable folk :)

Thanks

Rich

some tips here

maybe also check getting spark and see if plugs wet with petrol or oil

Just a thought. Have you checked the coil. I have known them crack and when cold work fine but when hot the crack opens and they misbehave. Just a thought.
That’s a good thought. Even though I’ve replaced the head gasket now etc it seems to have fixed the leaky stem seals. I’ll put in my spare and see how that works 👍🏻
