Horny dove

Searching for unusual noises using the search function isn't easy, neither is describing an engine noise.

My TD4 decides to make a noise every now and then (which by it's random nature, is hard to record) which I can only describe as sounding like a dove call played at high speed. It seems to be coming from the passenger side of the engine bay.

Turning the radio up does fix it though.

Might be worth checking the vacuum accumulator, maybe a perished pipe or the accumulator itself.

Thanks Mike, will have a look, I was tempted to leave it until something broke, but as the brakes seemed a tad heavier than usual it may be better to look into it sooner than that
