Are these holes on the back of a 2.25 Diesel suitable for taking the weight of the engine (with a bracket bolted to them)?

they are what the bracket bolts on to originaly

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll be leaving the engine now and will just have to live with it smoking rather than rebuilding it.
