Hello

Me and @kermit_rr are planning on going to Hill and ditch 4x4 at moldsworth quarry on 28th April

Hill n Ditch 4x4, Mouldsworth Quarry https://www.google.com/search?kgmid...bc084040330&shndl=30&source=sh/x/kp/osrp/m5/4

£30 per vehicle, think there's something for everyone there so no need to go mental and smash your landy to pieces, we're planning on just having a decent trundle around. Kermy is in a standard l322 and I'm in a standard D2 with all terrains.

So if anyone fancies coming along shout up and we might get a nice little meet up going.

If anyones been before and wants to let us know anything, please do!

Also, if there's anyone on here in the Midlands who can lend us some expertise/knowledge of non damaging greenlanes not too far away, we'd like to organise a trip out one of the days

Cheers

@1988smithy plenty of open lanes down Wiltshire. Takes about 1.5 hrs from longbridge to lanes All open from end of may. Only been stuck once in a D4 as they forgot to straddle the ruts in the long grass.
And no I try to avoid the sailsbury plain. Some of the ridgeway is closed now but you can loop so much in the area(90+miles green lanes) I only lane on standard road tyres.
There is a few tight lanes but you can drive past them as they fork off & rejoin.

Also camp in motors for weekend away.

I normally avoid pay & play but going with other people who don't want to go mental is tempting. I'm up for this if the D2 doesn't break when I'm out laning the weekend before.

I know a Shropshire route that's non-damaging, optionally via a pub for lunch.
Possibly a Warks route too but I've not done it for years and I'd need to double check first.

Same here but i certainly don't want any damage, just some light enjoyment
@1988smithy has a tidy motor too

We did a trip on the solstice weekend once and had booked a meal in the pub at Avebury. The lanes and bottom of the Ridgeway was full of the great unwashed.
Don't mind a hippy chick, was a bit of a hippy in my youth.

Defo just within standard capabilities for me 😅

Sounds ideal if still open, I'm in Shropshire quite regularly camping. Be great if you can have a look

Used to trundle the Ridge way near us, from Chinnor to Ewelme down.
But they have closed lots of it, due to dicks driving/riding to fast.
We nearly got hit when a group of bikers came flying round a blind corner.

25th or 27th May which is Bank Holiday weekend?
It is of course almost impossible to plan a route of no risk of light paint scratches, anything else we tend to cut back.
We also have no intention of getting any damage and have stock vehicles, no 4" lift D2s here!
jamesDiscoTD5 has been on one of our trips and I don't remember him smashing his D2 into a million bits.
If there is any interest I shall plan a route and start another thread in the Greenlane section.

That is my wedding anniversary weekend (28th) but I'm interested if I can square it away with the better half

If you do a warks day out let me know as that will be right on my door step and similarly i used to do some of the local ones regularly but have been for years so not familiar with the status anymore.
