Hi there!!

Hi there guys how are you?

I'm a Maltese guy not a LandRover owner yet!! I am trying to get a Freelander 1998 (Rover Engine) 2.0 Diesel.

I read loads of posts on forums and reviews on internet. Most of them say that Freelanders are crap!! What shall i do? Are they really crap? Do i have to forget it and try and go for something else?

hello and welcome to the mad house, personaly i wouldn't own a freelander if you paid me but some people swair by them (ming) others just swair at them (ming) i recon you should get a series, a defender or a discovery

dont get a freelander for gods sake if you want the comfort get a disco

and if u wanna proper landy, get a defender!!

seriously, u may think the freelanders nice, but your have more fun in a defender or disco. if ya want a bit o comfort then go for a disco, its pretty much a defender with leather seats and leccy windows!

poor ol bucket, aint even got the most basic of disco luxuries??ditch it n get a defender!

Freelanders drive better on-road & gives better fuel consumption. If you're always off-road then a Discovery would be better.

if hes always orf road then surely a defender would be better!?if he's 50/50, then a discos the way forward....

Nah, Discovery is much much better value & just as capable as Defender plus it don't look so old fashioned. Freelander is my top choice if yer mostly on road, ye just can't beat it.
