Hi there.
My name's Dan, I recently bought a 98 discovery 300tdi xs. My first 4x4, and I've always had a thing for discos. Within a month of owning her, have had to have new clutch fitted, new exhaust, and new front propshaft UJ, (oh and soon be replacing front calipers, discs and pads), but even still, I consider her quite a good buy. Reasonable milage, very tidy inside, and no rust outside, great chassis, boot floor, etc.
I really know bugger all about land rovers, but I'm military so work with them and live off them frequently and also my old man's got a 91 range rover, so I've been picking up knowledge as I go along.
Just sold my classic mini, so going to use some of the money to tart up the disco a bit, since I cannot resist spending money on her .
Anyway, hope you all have patience for my amateur questions, and I look forward to utilising the forum.
Cheers.
