Found a complete prop with vcu and a rear diff just incase for £85 good price I belive. Now just to send it off to bell and get my new tyres and hope the IRD is okay
If you change the oil in the IRD, you'll get an idea of the IRDs condition. Black or brown oil is good. Silvery grey oil suggest bearing damage. You need 1 litre of 75w90 semi of full synthetic gear oil for the IRD. It's also best to get a single hex socket for the fill and drain plugs, as they are made of cheese. Crack the fill before the drain plug, or you could end up with a stuck filler and an empty IRD.
