Hi everyone

So it seems my hi/low switch has gone, so going to order up a new one. I cant seem to find anything online regarding replacing and can see its fairly straight forward in the sense of unscrew the old and replace with the new but do I need to drain down the transfer box to switch it over?

I cant seem to find anything online
Hi, it's more than fairly straight.... next time search in the workshop manual, much better than online ;)

btw how did you end up with the conclusion that it's gone?...just to make sure you dont buy one in vain

Without sounding silly, workshop manual? All I've got is the haynes manual!! Thanks for that image.

I've tried using the hill descent, and just got the beep and flashing dash light, from this discovered there was no wiring loom which also explained why there was no reverse lights as well.

Managed to get a wiring loom, sorted the reverse lights but still no joy on the hi/low sensor, before I order one was going to test the connection with my multi meter from work for a closed connection when in low range, then order a sensor if still faulty. If the sensor is ok, will back to drawing board.

I've got no history with this d2 so slowly working through and finding things which need doing.

That's a part of the the so called RAVE which is now hard to find entirely and make it work as it used to, what year is your D2 ?
That makes sense, I've seen a lot of comments about using the RAVE. Left it on my Dropbox so will have access to that everywhere now even under the landy.

It's a 2001 td5 manual, sadly no cdl. Havnt checked for linkage yet mind but got more to sort out first on it.

Would of been nice the other day, trying to help someone out moving something up a hill, left hand side spinning right hand side stationery
