I'm still fairly new to the Land Rover world, though I'm on the committee of my local Land Rover club. Originally from the USA, I've lived in England for over 30 years and here in the North West more than five years. I'm running a Range Rover L322 4.2 SC, but unusually, I bought it mainly for use off the paved roads. I'm out on the green lanes almost every month, missing outings only when the Range Rover lets me down. It has actually been remarkably reliable. My main problems have been with the cooling system, a catastrophic water pump failure out on the lanes of Staffordshire and radiators clogged with muck and mud after a friend got it stuck in a mud hole.
Having nifty air suspension and vast amounts of torque can be useful, but off-road accessories are slightly harder to find than hen's teeth.
