Morning, just signed up. I hoping this year to buy a another series III land rover. I'm hoping this time to get one that needs a bit of restoring. I did own a series III 9 years ago but had got stuck for money etc and never really had the chance to work on it. Does anyone know if there is land rover restoration courses available? As I'am a newbie to it.

Thanks
Warren

Hi and welcome!

Good luck with finding a suitable Landy. Don’t forget to post some pics when you do get one.

Can’t help with restoration courses but a welding course would be useful if you can’t weld already, unless you get a Landy with a decent chassis and bulkhead.

Get yourself a workshop manual and a parts book, that and a welding course as mentioned and away you go.
Seen a few resto bargains recently, problem will be getting one home with all this lockdown at the moment......it might seem essential to fill your yard with yet more landrovers but the rozzers might take a different view:p

109 in Cambridge sold last week for £700!! Bargain.

You’ll be surprised how much help you will get here. Doubt you’ll need tutoring if you can learn on the go.

Welcome
