Just a few words to introduce myself and that I am new to Land Rover.
Recently decided to get myself a diesel Freelander as a all round form of transport as something that would tick all the boxes for my needs.
Ended up buying a 2 owner 2004 TD4 5 door SE with 105K on the clock with full dealer service history and all receipts for parts etc since new. It's in nice condition with only a few age related marks to the paintwork, So very pleased with what I got and what I paid for it.
I have owned BMW cars previously so moving to a Landy was a big change, but I actually am very pleased with how the Freelander drives, handles and performes.
But the best bit is that I can get in and out of this one with ease and it really is a nice comfortable drive. It does nothing outstanding but everything well.
I'm no spring chicken at 65yrs of age but a very active person. My wife and I have E-bikes that we hang on the back of the Landy and head out for out of town rides across the moors etc:
The Landy will also tow my boat once I've finished the refurb to it.
I have not yet retired from working full time even tho I am old enough. I like to be kept busy and the money has a use. lol.
I am mechanically apt but not a qualified technician even tho I built group N rally cars and other race cars back in the 80's. I also worked on scannia trucks for a couple of years. But I know very little about Land Rovers so this is where I hope you and this forum will enlighten me. So guys please treat me as a newbie and open up the world of Land Rovers to me.
