This is my first post and I joined this forum because I just bought a 2004 freelancer and I'm having engine trouble and I hope someone out there can help me. The problem that I'm having is that when my mass air flow sensor is plugged in the motor runs ruff and has no power but if I unplug the mass airflow it runs normal what do you guys and girls think it can be?

Hi mate, welcome. Stick that question in the Freelander section, you'll get some good direction and answers, but it may not get seen in the introductions section.

Welcome :)

Worth using the forum search and reading up before asking. There's a lot about MAFs.

Basically if you unplug it the ECU uses a default setting that works but is a little less ecomonical so if it runs rough connected the MAF sensor irself is the problem.
