Hey everyone, thought i best join up as no doubt i'll be needing help if anything breaks on my daily drive and also advice from you seasoned members out there who have been there and got the t-shirt!:D

I picked up a 1999 series 2 discovery the other month as my other daily drive-pug 206D french pile of crap decided to commit suicide. I wanted as much car for my coin so too speak and think i did an aright job picking this up haha. Always liked them and not had a 4x4 before so thought why not..

Apologies for no pics at the min as it's awaiting a valet by myself when i have time. Basically Gold with smoked windows, standard alloys and an auto box-nice in traffic and a relaxing drive! Nothing special it's my daily work horse but i look after all my cars so it will be clean and serviced/fixed as and when needed:).

I'm also a user of biodiesel as it's cheaper than regular diesel 1.26 a litre. Also a clean fuel so you can keep your pirus that you still have to put petrol in-boneheads!! Only petrol car i have is a high performance weekend toy lol. Used bio in my other car for 18months with no probs, and it runs fine in Td5 too, just needs abit of thining when it gets cold!!

Look forward to intelectual chats with you all soon, well maybe not to serious all the time!!;)

:welcome2:

Where are you getting biodiesel from at that price? I could use some of that:D

Please don't use big words like "intellectual" you will upset the natives.

please don't use big words like "intellectual" as it's too many syllables for the southerners on here.

You've been told before, be honest :D:D:D:D

It's had afew hiccups since my last post mind! Thought starter motor was on it's way out turned out it just needed a wire re-crimping must have had a bad connection! Either way it's fine now...:).

Oh yeh the greatest designed sunroof in history is causing water feature issues aswell. Why are they so crap (im used to JAP technology!) x2 new sunroof seals and they still leaked......so i got on roof and have silicone sealed and duck taped them shut-never use them or plan too. Total waste of time, i'd rather remove them and weld some metal over where they reside:violent:

Currently got a slight fluid leak (looks like oil-though oil level is fine on checking it). Looks like it's coming down the drivers side front of the engine then running down the block towards the rear and gathering around the gearbox/transfer box. Also noticed it on top of the front diff and anti roll bar......either way it's undersealing the car quite well:D

Doesn't look like a bad'n and i'll get it looked at when i take it for a pre winter check/fluid change on g-box, diffs and possibly engine
too.... NOTE fuel pressure reg has been changed back in April! Probibly be a clamp on pipe or something thats just old-hopefully!

I didn't realise it was that nice out today! Been working in the cellar and pantry! Welcome from Barnsley. :D

Cheers guys:). Still on with solving leaky sunroofs and now have a more clear idea of where the oils coming from!!
