Hello from two 4X4 newbies who are potentially only 24 hours away from owning our first Land Rover. Apologies to the membership for diving right in with questions on whether we were getting a good deal before introducing ourselves. We have just moved to the countryside from the big smoke and have not looked back. Never going back either! However the 2 seater has gone and we are embarking on a 4x4 journey with a Freelander TD4. We will keep you updated but it's starting well....the test-drive put an enormous grin on Lucy's face which pleased me no-end. Thanks to the senior members for the messages and the advice and for moving our thread to its rightful home.

sounds like you need to look at whats causing that vibration, it could be expensive:rolleyes:

I shall monitor the grin for the next few weeks and let you know...... ;) If any mechanical defaults prove to be the cause of aforementioned gring, then rest assured I will be claiming household austerity and doing absolutely nothing to sort it.

I suspect the eye-opening ride height and ability to look down on things contributed to this - being 5'4" on a good day (versus my 6'5"!)

Waiting for the call from the garage with anticipation!
