Hi guys so this morning after the cars being stood for 2 days the battery was dead!
Now about 2 weeks ago I left the headlights on for about 5 mins and came back to a none start due to battery
Obviously the battery has had it
now I know various theads on this but my question is as many know I drive wagons for a living and its being mentioned before I can get a hgv 200ah battery for next to nowt
Now I know it wont fit in the engine bay but could it be rewired to work from the boot (earth to chassis and possative on underside)or is it too much hassle

Too much hassle, fit a good quality 115 Amp battery VARTA, Bosch Etc. Or the one that Keith recommends.

A lot of hassle and the cost of suitable cable from the rear to the front would need to be taken into account. You would need a cable size of 50mm csa minimum.

I used to connect my car battery up to the waggon when going away from home in the winter, it was always nicely charged when I got back;)

Batteries are much bigger now though but could rig something up to charge it while you are driving the truck:)

Just get a 12 month warranty lead acid unit with tops on so you can check the fluid, sealed ones can't be maintained so don't last as Long

Non sealed old tech batteries are not compatible with the P38 alternator output voltage. The sealed batteries in my Transit are 11 years old and still going strong and need no maintenance.

I went down to my local battery specialist and popped the bonnet gave some dimensions and went give me the biggest you got that will fit with the correct terminals I now have a 120 or 130ah cant remember but it is a 1000cca and it only gets started and use on the weekends

130 Ah 1000CCA is the business, since I fitted that size I can leave it for 3 weeks and it still spins like a top:D:D

My defender in the garage spun over after eighteen months being stood and it's not a new battery or a big one:)

that might explain why mine Is starting to go down
It was 3month old when I bought the car and ive had it 18month
its a big bugger but has the screw off caps to gain access to the acid
