Hey everyone I'm new to forums and have no idea what I'm doing!

Ok so I'm new and have a massive job to undertake on my series 2a. I am putting a 2.5 300tdi engine in it. I have brought the engine but no local garages will do the job! So I need help and advice on where would be the best place to take it to, to get a competent job done. I live on the coast of Norwich.

You're learning about this forum then - you are correct in that THIS isn't the place to ask the question

My guess is that because the garages do not know the state and condition of the engine (not disrespecting your engine-sourcing skills...yet) then they are unlikely to want to offer any guarantee of work done in case the motor goes bang 50 yards down the road. Also, you may not have got all the necessary ancillaries together to do the job: brackets, cables, wires, bolts, ducting, electronics? etc. etc so it might not be a simple engine swap.

Sorry, I don't know if it's a "normal" conversion for a series or not, so apologies if I've overthought the process.
