Ello all. Got bored of watchin tennis so just done a side exit on me wagon. This is a short write up how ah done it :D

1. Took the back box off and cut the section off that goes from mid pipe to the box (very short right angle section)

4. Finished it off with the old End tip off the back box. Wedged it through the hole in the pannel and around the flexi pipe and also clamped it on.

All am gana do now is get a metal yobo "no smoke no poke" surround ring off the bay *link* Land rover defender/discovery challenge offroad custom exhaust rings | eBay and pop her on then should tidy it up nicely.
Cheers.

This is going to sound really innocent but please be kind.
What is the purpose of a side exit exhaust please?
Only one I can see is that maybe it doesn't get in the way when off road??

Sorry - Had to ask?

You should :)

Id cut the hole in the tub larger and create a mount to hold the flexi other wise you'll have to put up with the rattle it makes

how did you go about making the mount? i have been trying to work it out but can't quite get there!

The only good thing with side exit exhaust fitted with the 200tdi, is when you park next to some guy posing in the summer and start your car up cough cough!

If ya ain't got a welder I can only suggest to put a clamp round the flexi, then use abit of plate drill two holes so you can attach it to the clamp and then bend it to to meet up with the old mount. Drill a 3rd hole on the lower part of the bent plate and use large bolt to join it back to rubber mount.

Quite difficult to explainss
