Hi peepz, another newbie here! Im completely new to the world of LR....so much so im currently driving a Freelander 1....Yes I know, Gaylander...can hear the jeers from here! Joined the forum to learn more and hopefully gain some advice...other than burn it....Brought the car as a cheap stop gap after my last vehicle decided to visit the car park in the sky...and dare i say it, kinda of like it

So please be gentle, obviously expecting the typical freelander, soft roader type banter...but hoping there are a few folk that can give good advice too :D

Thanks Guys

Jase

checked your viscous too ? make sure its still a 4wd

Funny you say that....one of the thigs that led me to this forum was discovering that it is currently in mondo mode, with all the bits in the boot....and is something i want to put right! Apparently previous owner claimed he removed them for better handling and MPG....to say he was a dubious character is a bit of an understatement, as im sure future posts may reveal!

hope you haggled a bit in that case then!

never take a sellers word for it :p you learn that the hard way sometimes

To be fair Doc I paid £350 for it, its a 2003 with 8 months mot, fairly tidy condition apart from a few gremlins mechanically, so its not all bad surely....

gonna cost ya 3 times that to sort it out once u put the bits bk on that are in the boot

did u really believe the seller when he said it was for handling and better mpg:pound:

eeermmm....no...the fact he was on about his 20 inch alloys, which he kept by the way, kinda led me to believe this wasn't in fact true...that and I know a bit about mechanics....only a bit mind!
