View attachment 6803I bought a Land Rover Defender about 3 months ago, which now appears to have been a bad buy :-(
Today it failed it M.O.T and I am very new to this as its my first Land Rover and I had a limited budget. It failed on the following points and I was hoping some good samaritan could give me a ball park figure of what its likely to cost to repair what is needed to pass the re-examination.
Reasons for refusal of a Test Certificate.
001 Offside upper Front suspension has excessive play in upper suspension ball joint. [2.5.B.1a]
002 Steering column shaft locking device insecure. [2.1.5]
003 Near-side Drag link end ball joint has excessive play. [2.2.B1f]
004 Offside Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30 cm of the body mountings. [6.1.3]
005 Near-side rear Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion, seriously affecting its strength within 30 cm of the body mountings [6.1.3]
I fear my Landy days are over before they started!!
