My lovely TD4 keeps having clutch problems. Started about a week after I bought it, everything was fine on test drive and way back,( 40 miles ISH) diagnosed possibly wrongly as knackered gearbox. This was exchanged and I had a few months of happy driving. Then it "went" again. 700 quid and new slave cylinder later worked fine until July after passing mot with advisory on back brake pads. Since having this done it has failed again. Had new master cylinder fitted about 4 weeks ago. Had the car back for a whole day before it went again.
Diagnosed by 4x4 specialist as leak around flywheel etc.Now looking at new flywheel and whole new clutch for a mere thousand pounds. Is there a simpler/ cheaper fix? Topping up and pumping the pedal isn't working anymore, it's done for. Advice please
