hi guys. ive a serious fuel problm with my 96 disco. it started running sick so i changed the fuel filter and noticed there was very little fuel in it. i put the new filter on but she still run sick. wudnt rev over 2000 rpm. took the new filter of again and again noticed very little fuel in it. i then replaced the lift pump but still the same. took the sediment bowl of and cleaned it but then no fuel at all. took sender unit out of the fuel tank and all seemed well with it but still no fuel. got the compressor goin and put air into the tank to force the fuel upto the lift pump which worked but still not gettin enough fuel. im at me witts end. does the cam which drives the lift pump give bother??
any help wud be greatly appreciated.

As above. If the pump is pumping ok and there is plenty of fuel but not getting to the filter then blocked pipes would be where to look next.

cheers guys. wen i had the sediment bowl of i blew down the hose from the lift pump and it felt and sounded clear. the fuel seems to be filling the sediment bowl ok. but wen all put back together shes not filling the fuel filter.
some times the bottom of my lane floods and i drove threw it (slowly) and it was 5 minutes after that the trouble started. ni the water wasnt that deep. maybe upto the side steps. cud that be anything to do with it??

Disconnect the inlet to the lift pump and attach a short length fuel line to the inlet and place the other end in a gerry can with some fuel in it sat on the ground beside the car. Now try it. If everything works then you know the problem is in the fuel line between the engine bay and the sedimentor.
