Help with Phone

Hi Guys

How do I get my phone to work in a 03 Range Rover Vogue. I have put the sim in and nothing happens :-(

It's the sim from my phone but I have tried a few friends aswell but just says searching base :-(

is this a built in hands free phone? Coz yu dint say so, but from wot yu said , does the sim comes from a working mobile phone and yu are trying the sim in yo hands free..... is the aerial connected? are yu in a good reception area? Duz your mobile work ok in yo rangie?

maybe more precise info mite be useful.

The phone is built into the centre consol and you have to put a sim into a card that slips under the phone.

It just says searching base. I have noticed that the phone doesn't appear on the display screen but don't know if this is related to the fact that the sim doesn't appear to be working. The sim works fine in my mobile

I really don't know what is supposed to happen so any help is gratefully received.

Same problem - same model - took it back to James Edwards Chester - no can fix there's a common fault with shipped units. Phone won't communicate with brain - an arm and a leg to replace brain!!!!
