Bloody wet but much milder than last year. Living in a watermill we see a lot of waterWhats the weather like in Poitiers.

The mill was used to produce oil from Linseed or Colza, the French burnt it in the war to prevent the Germans using it. the mill race is still there, I have rebuilt the sluice gates and when the house is finished I intend to make a water wheel if I am still fit & healthydo you still have the actual water wheel .I would have one with a generator attached
Got an old Kubota with a 1.2 metre cutter deck and a standard 102Cm lawn tractor, missus cuts the grass.Looks idyllic.
What do you cut all that grass with, Kubota?
Block the EGR or if possible remove the VAC tube that operates it. Not sure if the latter is possible on the Freelander but it's OK on the P38. Stops all the crap getting into the inlet manifold.had a prob with rear breaks (did a thread lol) but all sorted now at a grand cost of no £s
but while out there i had a quick play/look around , first the pollen filter
wow pulled it out and the date lable on it was 2001 and very dirty
quick hoover /all clean
next i wanted to check my fan speed switch after reading i found i needed to find this
but i dont have one on my car i have this instead (i assume it does the same thing?)
next i had a quick look in engine fuse box and found i had 2 relays missing
found that a bit strange so got the multi meter out just to check ,but to my surprise they have power going to them so does the empty fuse slot !
i thought maybe aftermarket/upgrades that my freelander does not have ? but surly if that was the case they would not be live , can anyone tell me what relays should be there and what they do please?
next after reading about the egr valve ,thought i would check/clean mine
def full of crap lol , quick clean and checked the valve was free to move ,which it is
all back together ,quick test drive, all is well so now beer time
Hi Griff2, I'm marvelling at your ongoing repairs to the Hippo, you're not REME are you? Lol, I wish I had the confidence to get to grips with cars like that!
