Just been off roaring in my mates disco went through some water no higher than bottom of grill and now got rough running and very little power?

You havent mentioned if you have a snorkel or not.

If not ypur air intake is about the same height as your grill meaning youve sucked water in to engine and its ontop of pistons and wont combust that.so will hydraulic the engine.

Water in the air filter would filter it thru the holes in bottom of air box on a 300. So id look further than the air box.

Take glow plugs out n turn over till water is all out.

Sorry about lack of info guys it was water in the fuel tank all drained flushed and new fuel filter in seems to be running good again :) thank you for all the help :) also found that the exhaust manifold is missing a stud is this common on these prone to snap?

Just for future reference, if you do get water in the engine and try and turn it over you'll knacker it to a good extent. Remove the injectors/plugs and turn it over to get all the water out. You got lucky :)

Edit - just saw someone posted same above

My mate is looking for a snorkel as we speak will tell him look for some breathers too don't fancy going through all this again
