Help required on valuing a purchase

Yup, just look at what similar stuff is going for on Ebay and Autotrader. £10k is a bit high by the look of things. The highest prices seem to be for CSW type things (maybe with luxury packages like the 'XS' or the 'County') that are absolutely bog standard and have low mileages. And are being sold by dealers. The ones plastered in accessories and modifications never seem to go quite as high no matter how much their current owners think they should!

£10k? More if it's very good? Or is that toppy?

I really don't know about money values, steve, I have never paid more than two and a half grand for a landy or a car myself, and most of them have given me a lot of work.
If it is what you want and you are prepared to pay a price, well, that is what it is worth to you.

What I, and the others are saying is that, whatever you pay, avoid buying a pup. ie a motor that has expensive structural rust, engine or trans issues.

I would never buy a secondhand vehicle without driving it and giving it a once over myself, but if you really aren't confident to do this the specialist should check it all out if you are planning to spend that sort of money.

Just rest assured that whatever you buy someone will say "I could have got that for for half the money". They'll keep saying this until you tell them you want another for the wife/dog/garden or whatever when they will go strangely silent :)
