Hi Scoots

You do not seem to be getting any help here, theres me thinking the forum was here for LR enthusiasts to help each other out,
I do not know where you live, it maybe worth Googling Independent Landrover Garages that may put you on the right track.
As for winch fitting a LR Dealer in the US had a customers brand new Defender to fit a winch and during fitting the tech sliced the wiring loom, apparently the looms are not available to order they have to be made by the supplier.
Six months wait, so the dealer had to get him a new car, I bet the Tech had a roasting Lol.

FYI, he states where he wants help , Lancashire, it is there on the screen to be read!! ( see post #1)
Plus if you had read the posts he states he does not want to pay specialist garage prices. ( see post #6).

What has the above quoted part ? bearing in mind it was a brand new 2020 defender got to do with an old 300tdi Disco?

As it is, a snorkel and winch are not difficult to fit, and I would suggest the OP @scoots find their local 4x4 / greenlaning / P&P or Landy group and ask them for help as that sounds like what he needs.

Cheers

Thank you for your reply, my first as a new member, Im sorry if I spoke out of turn ???
In answer, no I did not see where he lived, we have an independent LR specialist near me and he does not charge silly specialist prices as with many Indys they are enthusiasts themselves.
I answered his question as I felt that no-one had given him any advice, I actually felt sorry for the guy ??????
As for the new defender it had nothing to do with his issues it was just chat, which obviously you took offence at !!!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONISING REPLY I THINK I WILL GO AND FIND AS FORUM THAT ENCOURAGES AND RESPECTS NEW MEMBERS,
you maybe a well known member but KNOWN FOR WHAT ?

@scoots
There are some how to's on youtube about snorkel fitting e.g.
and on the fora e.g. https://land-rover-discovery-1.blogspot.com/2013/03/fitting-safari-snorkel-to-japanese.html

I'm sure there will b the same for a winch bumper if you look.
If you can't DIY I'm sure someone here local to you might accept your offer, persevere! :)
Don't worry about the negative responses, takes all sorts here

Chill out, mate. They may encourage new members, but they don't know as much as we do.

You can't leave anyway, there is no way to delete the memberships.
