:welcome2:Just bought my son his first Landy. Can anyone point me to a good CHEAP insurance company as best quote is £1825 because he is on L plates. Crazy price considering he can only learn with me in the landy with him.
Any ideas on where to go please

that insurance company wont cover his disco as its a "94" they only cover much older ones

They cover mine and its a "96"

Come to think of it they do 3 of my mates too a "98" a "94" and a "95" defender, disco AND Terrano ALL under £300 FC and ALL under 25yo, No no claims req, and green lane cover inc

Yh i rang up 01621 840400 mine was £280 FC all in everythin declared, bob tail, winch, bumpers, tyres, engine mods etc etc, quite impressed with the service tbh didnt shop around just went with it as my insurance has always been close to 4 figures

Remember I've got a claim because me Disco II was vandalised. :(

Yeah same happened to us, took over a year for them to remove the claim from our details, despite it being the other driver's fault, cost us an extra £200 that year to get insurance. Make's you wonder why there are over 2 million car's on the road are uninsured...

Mine was vandalised by mindless yobs. They scratched it to fook and spray painted all over it. Insurance said it would need a full respray and would cost far more than the car was worth. £4,000+ I had to claim it. How long do I have to wait before I can stop disclosing it?

Worrying thing is that insurance for a kiddie on L plates is cheaper than when they've past their test due to them being supervised on L plates.

Aye was the same when dad taught me to drive on in the RRC, couldn't understand how the insurance went up so much when I passed me test then they told him why.
