He definitely had the kit for checking the **EAS** ECU? It is different to the standard ECU diagnostics kit which just read general info and will give no info on EAS faults. Most general garages don't have the kit to read info from the EAS. Was it a LR specialist, or just a general garage? I'd be surprised if a general garage bothered to invest in the kit for reading LR EAS ECU's (the leads and software don't come cheap!)

got it to a garage this afternoon, sold me a compressor for £80 quid , fitted it there myself in 10 minutes, put it on the diagnostic and cleared the faults and now it seems fine. only thing is it sounds like its adjustin quite regular when driving like every 10 minutes is that normal?????

not sure he was reffered to me by a car showroom my dad worked at he does all their land rovers and a mate of mine said to go there too.
He originally thought it was the pump and said its common and i told him it was workin fine he just said it wasnt telling him there wasnt a fault with the eas, he did try and clear all faults but this made no difference.

No, I'd say one of your air bags is leaking. Get it sorted before you get another fault on the system and kill another compressor! Once pumped up, it should not have to do anything. Have a good listen under each of the four corners once you've turned the engine off - tho be aware that they don't always leak when stationary because they fold over where a hole may be which can 'plug' the hole! If they are more than about 5/6 years old then it is likely they may well be perished - pump it up to full height and look at the airbags, you'll probably see they are perishing around where they fold under normal use. To be honest once one starts to go, the rest are usually on their way out. Fronts are easy to replace, 1 hour max to do both sides even for an amateur. Rears are more of a pain because they have pins at the top, which tend to seize and are a bitch to get out if they have unless you have it on a 4-poster. What year is your P38?

Not heard of that to be honest. Rovacom (with the appropriate leads and software options) and Testbook are the only ones I know of that can read the Land Rover EAS ECU's.

I know he did find 1 fault which was the air con relay not working but thats all, he used the snap-on diagnostic kit which is up to date and has other diagnostic rovacom or something but said that it should still say there was faults whch the ecu didnt.
No Snap on scanner will talk to EAS on a RR Lp,Rovacom can but only with the correct modules enabled.Take the car somewhere who knows what they are doing.
